City Classic Cars is the established leader in Vintage Automobile and Show Car Restoration and looking to add to our trim and upholstery department with an experienced trimmer and/or upholsterer. Candidates need a strong work ethic, passion and skill for restoring vintage automobiles, and a well-balanced character to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities include crafting, sewing, and installing complete vehicle interior systems upholstered in leather. Cloth, vinyl and other soft materials, including custom designs and patterns. This includes the fabrication of vehicle seats and seat covers, headliners, carpet kits, trunk kits, door panels, sun visors, arm rests, center consoles, convertible tops, and other interior parts.
Design, Create, Sew and Install seat patterns with quality fabric or synthetic material.
Sew leather, suede, canvas, synthetic material, carpet and headliner material
Implement upholstery design according to designer specifications.
Sew, measure, cut, stretch, and fasten coverings to frames.
Install interior to include carpet, headliner, sun visors, and recovered seats
Convertible and hardtop replacement and installation is a plus
Woodworking, center console fabrication and sound systems are a plus
Be work-ready, have attention to detail, be reliable and hardworking.
Must have reliable transportation.
Able to work independently as well as within a team.
Attention to detail and an eye for quality
Professional work pace - no do it yourself hobbyist
Disassemble and reassemble interior in vehicles.
